  Lovely little store. The books are very well organized, easy to find titles. Great selection of loose tea, and samples to try! Tea and books, two of my favorite things!

  A lovely second hand bookstore just off Lougheed Highway at Harris Road. Tomes & Tales has a good general stock, mostly paperbacks, and a well-stocked children's section. I purchased an unread (ie, used, but looked brand new) Penguin of Wuthering Heights, a collection of Canadian Short Stories, and a collection of WWI essays & reflections from 1920. The three books came to $19.00. Many used bookstores in the Lower Mainland are now pricing paperbacks at just slightly less than Amazon charges for new ones, and it's refreshing to be able to pick up something you've always wanted to read for a very reasonable price. Additionally, the front of the store sells specialty teas, having a few dozen on hand. They brewed me a cup right there, and it was very nice to browse the shop with a lemon-ginger tea. Tomes and Tales doesn't have an exotic stock of books (you're not going to uncover a rare first edition here) but it's a good general purpose shop that is certainly worth a visit if you're in the area.

  I found this quaint store on a shaded corner of Pitt Meadows. When I walked in, I felt very welcome. It was as if I had been there before: calm; peaceful; inviting. The owner Faith has only had this shop for a short time, but seems to be in her glory. When I took my mother there, she inquired about a hard to find book, which Faith said, "it's right here" magically plucking it from a nearby shelf. I will be recommending this to all of my friends as the go to place for: books, tasty teas & great conversation.

  Fantastic selection of books and other cool stuff. The loose leaf tea is yummy and good value and the staff are awesome! I always head there for cards and little gifts.

  I recently wandered in to Tomes and Tales looking for a specific book to take camping. Even though the book wasn't in stock at the time, the owner (Faith) was more than willing to look for it for me and bring it in. I did end up buying some lovely Vanilla Chai tea which I'm enjoying every afternoon. You can see that Faith loves what she's doing - it's reflected in the atmosphere of this little gem of a store. I'll be back for sure!
